Purposes of Practicum
The purpose of this practicum is definitely for upgrading skills in teaching and gaining more practices for improvements in teaching as well as knowing and adjusting ourselves with the differences in teaching-learning environment in different country.
Procedures of Practicum
Procedure of practicum at TAU was organized well. Everything ran in good sequence. Starting from introduction to environment, the school, school staffs and teachers, the classrooms, the students, the methods, the materials, the classroom management, training and evaluation.
Outcomes of Practicum
The outcomes of this practicum for students teachers would be our skills in teaching got upgraded and gained more practices for improvements in teaching as well as got to know and well-adjustment with the differences in teaching-learning environment in different country. So that, we could also implement the knowledge in our own country for better improvement in teaching-learning process.
The Challenges of Practicum
Time Management and new learning materials that are different from those are in Indonesia.
Overall Impression
TAU organized and accomadated all Sea-Teachers students very well. Everything ran in good sequence. Starting from introduction to environment, the school, school staffs and teachers, the classrooms, the students, the methods, the materials, the classroom management, training and evaluation. In addition, they also always made sure that all of students had high protection during the program. They also gave us comfortable dormitory with good services. And more impostantly, all people at TAU are so friendly and kind, so that we considered TAU as home.
Suggestion for Future Improvement
TAU provided their best services so that I could enjoy during my immersion. There was no big challenges or barriers I found when I was staying there. I think it was about the unpredictable weather change that becoming the problem there. But overall, TAU is a very recommendable place for gaining both knowledge and true excitements.
