Day 22 in the Philippines (2nd of September 2018)
Today is market day. Yeayyyy. I also realized that I needed to buy some food stuff for several days ahead. Today, I was supposed to go to SM Mall in Tarlac city. But, I decided not to go there with them because I enjoyed shopping at traditional market in Camiling. For me, shopping or buying some stuff there are much cheaper than those are in SM Mall. Moreover, I really enjoyed to see the condition of society at traditional market. At Camiling market I bought some sausages, vegetables, noodles, cereal, milk and nugget. after finished shopping, I asked my buddy Renmark to accompany me to see the old church that lies across the market. After that, we went back to the hostel.

Day 23 in the Philippines (3rd of September 2018)
a. Grade 10 Science
Today, I had to do another teaching practice at grade 10 Science. The topic for today’s lesson was Introduction to Classical Mythology. I started the lesson by playing puzzle games. The students had to arrange the pictures of some gods and goddesses in group. After the pictures were formed perfectly, they had to come in front to write the name of the gods and goddesses on the white board. The group who had most correct answer won. In this game group 5 was the winner. After the puzzle games I continued my explanation about some main gods and goddesses in the Greek Mythology. I explained it by presenting their pictures on the slide, so the students were able to recognize their depiction as well as their characters. After that, I gave my students quiz that consists of 10 items. And when they already finished answering the quiz, I instructed them to discuss the quiz together. Afterwards, they submitted their asnwer sheets to me. The class was running smoothly. And I was really happy that all students were interested and actively participating during the classrooms activities.
b. Grade 7 Science
This afternoon at 3 to 4 pm, I joined maam Faith’s class. There I helped her to give tests or short quiz with my partner Ms. Hidia to the students. The quiz was about punctuation errors in the sentences that the students must be able to fix. During, the discussion I tried to check the students works as well as asked them some questions about the quiz. And at the end of the class, the students were asked to come forward to answer the question on the whiteboard. The students looked very excited and active in answering the questions.

Day 24 in the Philippines (4th of September 2018)
Today, We had to go to the market to buy some stuff for ASEAN festival. But there were some friends in charged went to the market. I stayed at the hostel finishing some daily journals for my teacher. After having finished my daily journals, my friends and I discussed about our performance on ASEAN festival tomorrow. After all of us got together, we then started practicing. We practiced to sing some Indonesia’s songs and dance Maumere song. Those will be our performance on ASEAN festival tomorrow.

Day 25 in the Philippines (5th of September 2018)
The ASEAN festival finally come, yeayyyyyyyy !!!!!!!
I was so happy because it’s my first time joining the festival and so did all my Sea Teachers and Sea Tvet friends. During the festival, we had to wear our national costume. No wonder, we could see various costume from different countries and regions during the festival. In short, all of students started walking from College of Education and went to the gymnasium as the finish point. In the gymnasium, all of students had opportunity to present their performance. And Indonesia’s students had the opportunity to perform first. We were really nervous at that time. Because there were so many people at the gymnasium watching our performance. During our performance we were so happy because there are a lot of people in the gymnasium joined us to dance Maumere dance from NTT. All of us were really enjoying our dancing. After the performance, we heard some speech from the head of Tarlac Agricultural University and awarding ceremony for bright students of uni. In addition, during the festival we also enjoyed the fashion show of national costume from all ASEAN countries that brought by some uni students on stage. They are so creative in designing the costume so the costume looked interesting. After the show, we headed to the administration office hall where we could enjoy the boots from each faculty of TAU. It was such an amazing day in my life.

Day 26 in the Philippines (6th of September 2018)
Today everyone was busy preparing for the portfolio about our teaching experiences and activities here in the TAU especially for Sea Teachers students. We needed to cover up our activities in our portfolio especially our teaching experience and all teaching media we used. We also needed to include our impression about our stay here in the TAU and also with our buddy and teachers at school. This portfolio will be one of the requirements for our grading. In the Afternoon all students had an opportunity to learn Chinese in Language class. Maam Faith and maam Judith taught us about Chinese. We practiced a lot. It was our first time learning Chinese. We wreally enjoyed the fun learning class.

Day 27 in the Philippines (7th of September 2018)
My day in the Philipines will come to an end. I just realized that there will be a closing ceremony at 2 pm. Early in morning I was prepared to have a meeting with the LAB School principal in her office. I went there with my friend Hidia and we had maam Faith and maam Judith picking us up at the hostel. We arrived at the principal office around 9 am. We had to wait to meet with the principal for a while, since there was heavy rain in the morning. Not long afterwards, the principal finally arrived and she greeted us warmly. It’s my first time to see her and a time for us to say goodbye. After visiting the principal office, maam Faith and maam Judith took me and Hidia to Camiling for lunch. We had lunch at one of very popular restaurants there. We had baked macarony cheese and Spaghetii. The food was quite cheap although at first I thought it would be expensinve, since the the restaurant design looks luxurious. After, having lunch, we headed back to our hostel. As we arrived at the hostel, my friends and I prepared for individual presentation on closing ceremony. The closing ceremony started at 3 pm (1 hour late) and it was held at the function hall behind our hostel. I was kind of sad because this program is over. I wish I could have more days here to spend with my lovely buddies and other friends.

Day 28 in the Philippines (8th of September 2018)
Early in the morning, around 3 am all of students of Sea Teachers and Sea Tvet had to leave for Manila. Our time at TAU is over. We now had to go back to our country Indonesia. Before we left, all of us were sad and cried. We said goodbye to our buddies who had accompanied us during our stay at TAU. For me, I couldn’t say anything. I was really sad. I hugged all my buddies there tightly while crying over their shoulders. I can’t imagine how my days ahead without them. I felt very comfortable with them. We made jokes together, played games together, shopping together, sleeping together, and most our time we spent with our buddies. They are so incredible for me. After saying goodbye to one another, I got on the bus and headed to Manila. We arrived at the embassy office in Manila around 7.30 am in the morning. As we arrived there, mas Rahmat, one of friends who works at the embassy office guided us to go to our dorm. As we arrived at our dorm, we took time for laying down on our bed. At 10 am, all of us were ready to go around Manila. During our stay in Manila, we visited some popular spots there such as, American Cemetery, Geenhills and Greenhills market. We took a lot of pictures during our visit at American Cemetery because the place was very awesome an we had exceptional view at the Greenhills. There were a lot of historical remains of the U.S colonialization times. We also could see the well-organized cemetery of U.S soldiers who died in ancient time. After visiting American Cemetery, we continued our trip to visit Greenhills market that is very well-known for its cheap goods. The market is quite near from American Cemetery we had visited earlier. As we arrived there, we headed to the mosque first, because it was time for us to pray. After praying, we had lunch together at the cafetaria next to the mosque where we were able to eat halal food. After lunch, we went straight to the market. WE bought a lot of souvenirs there for our family and friends in Indonesia. We were so happy. In the evening, I went out with my buddy kuya Lao, enjoying Makati city. we went to one of restaurants near our dorm. I also met his bestfriends who work in Makati. We spent our last night together here in Makati so happily. After that, we went back to our dorm.

Day 29 in the Philippines (9th of September 2018)
Today it’s time to say goodbye to my buddies here in the Philipines. We went to the airport around 4 am. We went there by van of Embassy office. When we arrived at th airport, I could not bear to let my tears fall down. I can’t say thank you enough for all my philipino buddies’ helps during my stay here in the Philipines. I really enjoyed so much staying here and having them as my new bestfriends and family. There are a lot of stories that I still wanted to share with them. I also still wanted to hang out and do crazy things with them. 1 month felt like a day. But I promised them that I will come back. Thank you. Maraming salamt po. MAHAL KO PO KAYO.
